Engel Farms: Paul and Wendy Engel, out of Fredericksburg, TX, supply us with all of our summer tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, cucumbers, canaloupe, watermelon, blackberries, okra, jalapeno peppers and green and orange bell peppers

Segovia Produce: Mr. & Mrs. Joe E. Segovia established the company in 1972, one truck, one employee.  33 years later the company is still “family” owned and operated.

Meat & Dairy:

East Poultry: East Poultry was co-founded by Leonard C. East and his son Alvin G. East in 1913.

Maxim Eggs: Out of Rosenburg, Tx.  These eggs come from from “cage free” chickens that are fed an all vegetable diet with no hormones or antibiotics.  Cage free eggs are laid by hens in a protected area where they are free to roam, nest & scratch. These hens are also fed all-natural, whole grain diets that are rich in corn and soy protein with no animal fat, animal by-products, preservatives or antibiotics.

Pederson’s Natural Farms: It takes a lot of extra time and dedication to detail to raise pork our way, but that‘s why our pork is just naturally better. All Natural Products.

Twin County Dorpers: Located in Harper, Texas. Nothing genetically altered nor growth hormones are used to raise their animals.

Richardson Farms: Jim and Kaye in Rockdale Texas, the best pork anywhere. Find them at the Sunset Valley Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.

Thunder Heart Bison: They raise Bison whose health and powerful immune systems are legendary. Healthy animals pass along those properties of health to anyone lucky enough to consume their meat.

Hill Country Dairies: Our milk and cream comes from only the best local farms, and is always cold and tasty.

Services:

Break it Down: Break it Down was founded by the wife and husband duo, Melanie MacFarlane and Jeff Paine, in the summer of 2009. What began as a recognition that there were no composting services available for local businesses has grown to include social dimensions, educational programs, and a fully-established composting and recycling program.
