What does “Green” even mean?
To
The term green is overused and under researched. Many people think that green products must have a green leaf or logo on them, but with much research we have chosen effective, environmentally friendly products that may not promote their ‘greenness’ but defiantly are green.
Education:
This is where everything begins. In order to productively make a difference, one must know where the difference needs to be made. Kerbey Lanes Green Team is dedicated to researching and implementing changes in our daily activities. We have Green Team meetings where a bunch of earth lovers brainstorm and find alternatives. Representatives from each store help the green awareness spread. Individual effort really goes a long way, so by educating all of our employees, it ensures that everyone is on board.

Where do we dispose of our grease?
Griffin Industries is in charge of collecting our cooking oils and trap grease. With their high standards, everything is completely recycled in accordance with environmental regulations. The fatty acids and tallow’s derived from the trap grease and oils are used to manufacture many things including soaps, paints, water repellents, rubber and a biodegradable diesel fuel called Biodiesel. The fats and proteins in our grease go to making feed for animals and the waster that is derived from this grease is put back into the land where cattle graze. Not a drop of Kerbey Lanes grease or oil will ever see a landfill.
