Kerbey Lane Cafe's philosophy began with the desire to provide Austin with the freshest possible food at affordable prices. Started in 1980 by two people with a passion for food, Kerbey Lane Cafe continues that passion today with a staff of people dedicated to food. Currently, in addition to our popular regular menu, we also create a number of seasonal menus using local produce that is at its peak of freshness.
By developing working relationships with local vendors, purveyors, and growers, we are committed to keeping our money here in Central Texas and helping other local businesses with their success. Using local goods and services provides our guests with the freshest products possible, helps our local economy, and cuts down on emissions involved in trucking goods long distances. Through the Go Texan program we are expanding our involvement throughout Texas with our own pancake mixes and other online products.
Just as important to us is the community of Austin . Helping our community develop is something we take very seriously. Kerbey Lane Cafe is actively involved in local schools, community outreach programs, local green projects, local arts and artists, as well as public radio and charities. We recognize the benefits that all these programs have in our community and are committed to their support.
Offering opportunities to our employees and their families is also an important part of Kerbey Lane Cafe’s commitment. We offer volunteer and educational opportunities, sports sponsorships, flexible schedules and job advancement to our employees and their families.
