Some of the best things at Kerbey Lane start with a simple idea. This one starts with a bowl of queso and a table full of friends.
This year, we’ve been proud to show up for our local schools, from teaming up with Austin High’s culinary students to celebrating the teachers who make those classrooms run. Queso for Classrooms is the next step. A portion of every queso order now supports school lunch programs in the communities we call home, so students have access to a meal when they need it.
Why School Lunch?
Learning is hard on an empty stomach. A student who has eaten can focus, ask questions, and show up ready for the day. School lunch programs make that possible, and we think a restaurant that feeds its neighbors should help keep them going.
How It Works
There’s nothing to sign up for and nothing extra to do. Order queso, whether you’re dining in, picking up, or ordering online, and a portion of your purchase goes to school lunch programs in our communities.
Thank You, Teachers
The people doing the important work in our schools deserve some love too. Teachers and school district employees get 20% off dine-in food and non-alcoholic beverages, any day. Just show your ID.
Make Your Queso Excuse Count
Celebrating a good grade, surviving a long week, or just needing chips and queso? Now it matters even more. Stop by any Kerbey Lane All Day Cafe, order a bowl, and know that every scoop helps a student in our community.
